What is the QJTT Tech Apprentice Program?

Theater is so much more than acting. The technical aspects (lighting, sound, etc.) help make each performance go from good to great. QJTT offers an apprenticeship program for anyone (boys and girls) age 12-19 who is interested in learning more about the technical aspects of the theater. Apprentices will be involved with all areas of lighting (designing a light plot, working with various lighting instruments and lighting effects, learning how to work the computerized lighting system, and more), sound (understanding the principles of wireless microphones, correct use and placement of wireless microphones and ‘choir’ microphones, the operation of the 24-channel mixing console, and more), and other areas of the theater where technical requirements are needed (backstage work, stage managing etc.).
